Marissa Coldren
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, MSW, LSW
(she, her)
I have experience working with individuals with a wide range of mental health diagnoses such as, but not limited to PTSD, ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, and Depression. Many of the people I serve have co-occurring disorders. I also find it important to acknowledge the impact that our identifiers (LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and etc) have on our experiences. I work with teens and adults ages 14+. I use a customized eclectic approach to promote mental health well-being in all the clients I serve.
Although I have a wide range of experience, I specialize in helping those who struggle with trauma. I am passionate about providing services to those with mental health disorders who also have a history of trauma. I use a trauma-focused approach to my services, understanding that trauma can impact the way mental health disorders manifest. I am "Trauma Responsive Practice Certified" and am also trained in EMDR.
Starting therapy can be an intimidating step in one's journey. I find it important to have a relational eclectic approach, especially when working with those who have experienced trauma. It is important that my clients feel comfortable to share some of their most impactful experiences with me so that way I can assist with promoting healing. My clients are the experts of their experiences and my goal is to walk beside them as we work towards bettering mental health.
